About me–
I am the senior architect and managing director of Biome Environmental Solutions (www.biome-solutions.com) a multidisciplinary firm of about 30 people working in the field of ecological architecture and intelligent water and waste designs.
After graduating from School of Architecture CEPT India, I started my practice in Bangalore in 1990 and in 2008 the practice moved to a collaborative nature and is called Biome Environmental Solutions. In the beginning the practice concentrated mostly on economical ways of building to have gravitated towards the ecological spectrum because we felt that the buildings we design, and build should not be parasitic but be positive additions to the Anthropocene environment.
I am also interested in teaching and have been part of academic curricula design at Laxmi Institute of Architecture Sarigam India and was the Charles Correa Design Chair at Goa College of Architecture Panaji from January 2018 to April 2018 at Goa College of Architecture India.
I work with KILIKILI (www.kilikili.org) designing accessible parks for children with disabilities. Recently designed a park at Bhubhneshwar, Orissa India and with UNICEF at Birgunj Nepal.
At present I am independent Director for Shivmoga Smart City Project. This is an initiative by the Government of India to fast track infrastructure and cultural development of mid -tier cities. My inputs are on balanced ecological approach to be adopted.
